The electrical, operational, and environmental data of electric power infrastructure are collected, processed, and shared through an Internet of things-based electric power infrastructure monitoring system (IoT-EPIMS). The IoT-EPIMS provides efficient monitoring and diagnostic functions to support the secure, reliable and stable operation of electric power systems. This Recommendation specifies the functional requirements for the management of IoT-EPIMS, including configuration management, performance management, fault management, and security management. This Recommendation also provides a detailed use case for power transmission scenario, illustrating IoT device deployment and end-to-end management activities.
