The virtual data center (VDC) offers low-cost infrastructure for enterprises. Since single physical DC partition limits its scalability, operators integrate multiple DCs into a resource pool, using a cooperative controller to perform cross-DC SDN management. This Recommendation specifies the data models and the signalling requirements for the interface between the cooperative controller and DC controllers.
