With the softwarization of IMT-2020 networks and beyond and the shift towards integrated Artificial Intelligence (AI) and communication, it becomes essential to establish a general and unified framework of joint development and operation to support the rapid updating, iteration and delivery of software solutions, including intelligent network applications with AI/Machine Learning (ML) models embedded within software. This can enable stakeholders to implement systematic and automated end-to-end lifecycle management and to achieve continuous integration, testing, deployment and delivery of related software systems, improving the efficiency and timeliness of telecommunications services. This Recommendation specifies the framework of joint development and operation for IMT-2020 networks and beyond.
