The store and forward mode for the fixed, mobile and satellite convergence (FMSC) is intended to provide communication service for multi-access user equipment (MUE) under satellite coverage with intermittent/temporary satellite connectivity (e.g. when the satellite is not connected via a feeder link or via Inter-Satellite Link (ISL) to the land-based network). This Recommendation specifies the requirements, architecture and service procedure of store and forward for FMSC for IMT-2020 networks and beyond. The radio aspects are out of the scope of this Recommendation.
