This Recommendation provides a no-reference, perceptual objective video quality assessment method for FHD (full high definition, 1920x1080) signals to assess coding artifacts and camera impairments. As multimedia signals are increasingly transmitted over networks, there are increasing needs to monitor video quality. Although full-reference or reduced reference video quality measurement methods can be used to assess coding artifacts, information on reference source signals may not be available for video quality assessment in real world.
