Q.4106: Hybrid peer-to-peer (P2P) communications: Service framework
This Recommendation specifies a framework for implementing various services using a hybrid peer-to-peer (HP2P) network, specified in Recommendation ITU-T Q.4100. The HP2P network uses two protocols: the peer protocol specified in Recommendation ITU-T Q.4102, including its Amendment, and the overlay management protocol specified in Recommendation ITU-T Q.4103, including its Amendment. The overlay management protocol is used for composing HP2P networks, and the peer protocol is used to construct and exchange information among peers in the network. This framework offers detailed explanations on how to manipulate and use HP2P networks for services and applications, including guidance for extending service-specific attributes. This Recommendation also provides extensions for providing enhanced capabilities on HP2P networks in Annex A, and service scenarios that make use of this framework in Annex B.
