This Recommendation specifies the requirements and capabilities of information-centric networking (ICN) node to support in-network processing in networks beyond IMT-2020. It describes the requirements of ICN network node from two aspects: service requirements and functional requirements. Based on the ICN capability architecture established in ITU-T Y.3075, it specifies enhanced ICN network node capabilities to support in-network processing, including resource-ID registration and resolution, resource-ID based routing, local resources monitoring, collaborated neighbourhood awareness and maintenance, autonomous resource-ID-based forwarding and scheduling.
