ITU-T Recommendation G.661 provides the definitions of the relevant parameters, common to the different types of optical amplifiers and the test methods of said parameters to be followed, as far as applicable, for optical amplifier devices and subsystems covered by ITU-T Recommendations. In this edition of Recommendation ITU-T G.661, the reference diagram and definition of the ROPA are added.
