This Recommendation provides the concept and classification of basic city infrastructures. The sensing and data collection system of city infrastructure is also described. A lot of city infrastructures are taken into consideration in building smart cities such as energy, transportation, healthcare, cultural, sports and educational infrastructures. This Recommendation identifies these infrastructures and provides the functions and requirements of sensing and data collection system for those city infrastructures. The sensing and data collection system provides unified management to the sensing devices attached to various city infrastructures. This Recommendation is helpful for the cities to build smart city by improving the efficiency and resilience of city infrastructure through using ICT.
