Recommendation ITU-T G.9978 specifies the various secure admission methods for a node to enter a G.hn domain, including media access control (MAC) authorization-based secure admission, generic pairing, autopairing and passphrase-based secure admission. Amendment 1 adds support for native authentication and external authentication, as specified in [ITU-T G.9961].
