The Fifth Meeting took place on 7 October 2009 at the ITU Headquarters in Geneva, prior to the Open Consultations.
The fifth meeting of UNGIS provided an opportunity to advance Group’s objectives of coordination of substantive and policy issues facing the United Nations system’s implementation of the outcomes of the World Summit on the Information Society. Particular focus were directed towards review of progress made in implementation of the activities reflected in the Work Program 2009-2010 as well as actions to be undertaken by the UNGIS members shortly.
