WSIS and Hon. Neema Lugangira (MP, Tanzania)
Session 490
For the first time, WSIS has partnered with a Parliamentarians, Hon. Neema Lugangira (MP, Tanzania) to organise a dedicated session to discuss the Parliamentarians Role in Advocating WSIS Action Lines.
It is without a doubt that to accelerate the implementation of the WSIS Action Lines, the role of Parliamentarians is critical. We therefore, need to ensure Parliamentarians are included in the WSIS Process and have an aligned understanding of the WSIS Action Lines.
Therefore, this session aims to outline the existing gaps in Parliamentarians engagement and agree on ways to bridge this existing gap whilst the expected outcome is an agreed way forward with tangible action points led by Parliamentarians under the leadership of Hon. Neema Lugangira (MP, Tanzania).
