Since it’s established in 2010, Mada Center has been steadily progressing towards its vision of digital accessibility and inclusivity for persons with disabilities. Throughout the years with its staff of experts in this field and its unique innovation program, the center accomplished a lot.
In this session, we will demonstrate the main outcomes of Mada Innovation Program that achieved digital accessibility and inclusivity for persons with disabilities in Qatar and beyond.

He is the Head of ICT Accessibility Innovation and Research Section at Mada Center, Doha, Qatar. Working on research projects to enable persons with disabilities using innovative technologies and Artificial Intelligence (AI). He has more than five years of technical leadership and people management experience and three years as an international consultant and researcher in several international IT projects, in addition to 4 years as an assistant professor. He is an IEEE Senior Member.

Oussama El Ghoul is an ICT Access researcher specialist at Mada center Qatar since 2019. He has been a project manager at the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization from 2013 to 2019. He also Taught at the university of Tunis as assistant professor from 2008 to 2012. He is member at the research Laboratory on technologies of information and communication and electrical engineering LaTICE.
At Mada he is currently leading 2 research projects related to sign language translation and recognition. He is a member of the team that received several awards, including the Silver medal of the International Fair of Inventions in Kuwait 2007, the UNESCO Prize 2008 for the e-learning curriculum they developed for visually impaired, the "World Summit Award (WSA) – Mobile 2010" in the field of social inclusion. He also was contributed on the , the project “ALECSO APPS” that received the Mohammed bin Rashid Arabic Language Award (in the Technology topic), in May 2017.
Al-Dana Al-Mohannadi is an ICT Innovation Researcher at Mada Center and is responsible for developing, executing, and promoting Mada Innovation Program, an innovation hub that connects persons with disabilities with technology in Qatar and beyond.

Ahmed Elsheikh has a Master's degree in Computer Systems Engineering from London South Bank University, United Kingdom, 2002. He is a specialist and practitioner in ICT Accessibility and Assistive Technology. Ahmed is experienced in Inclusive Education in the private and higher education sectors. Has a track record of contributing to changes in ICT Access practices in the UK and the Arab region as a result of stakeholder demands (public and private) or in light of changing economic environments and conditions. His skills and extensive experience serve as an ideal platform for ICT Access and Assistive Technology intervention assessments to support persons with disabilities, develop specific action plans, meet their needs and apply various adaptations to ecosystems. Ahmed has qualified skills to develop intervention strategies by identifying and recommending appropriate technology, as well as to develop training materials and provide training courses for persons with disabilities, caregivers, strategic partners and teachers when needed. In addition, Ahmed has a number of published scientific papers in the international and scientific platforms together with presentation of seminars and lectures for Mada’s partners.

Abdulla Al-Emadi is an ICT Accessibility Policy Researcher at Mada Center. Abdulla specializes in supporting policy formulation with different sectors in Qatar to ensure all their ICT solutions are accessible to people with disabilities. He believes that every person has the right to access modern technology and he is passionate about building an inclusive digital ecosystem for all. Abdulla holds a bachelor degree in business information security from Arizona State University.
