AI for Good Innovate for Impact

Research shows women politicians often prioritize education, healthcare, and addressing
                      gender-based violence, strengthening democratic institutions.

                      23 Future Work

Our implementation strategy for the AI-powered GaP Repository follows a four-phase approach
to transform CGAP’s existing static resource database into a dynamic, AI-driven platform that
addresses the unique challenges facing young women in South Asian politics.

Phase 1 focuses on data enrichment and AI model development. We'll convert CGAP’s existing
repository content into training data, supplemented with region-specific political information
from verified sources. This will be structured into a knowledge graph that captures the nuances
of political systems across South Asian countries. Simultaneously, we'll develop and fine-tune
a multilingual large language model specialized for political discourse in regional languages
including Hindi, Urdu, Bengali, Tamil, and Sinhalese.

Phase 2 centers on building the conversational interface and personalization system. The
platform will feature a progressive profiling system that learns user preferences and career
stage without intrusive questioning. We'll develop contextual recommendation algorithms
that deliver tailored resources based on the user's specific political environment, from local
                      governance to national politics.

Phase 3 implements the mentorship matching feature, utilizing an AI system that analyzes
mentor profiles and user needs to suggest optimal connections. This will incorporate availability
scheduling and conversation prompts to facilitate meaningful engagement.

The final phase focuses on user testing and feedback integration, involving young women from
diverse backgrounds across South Asia. We'll implement a continuous improvement system
that learns from user interactions to enhance recommendations and content relevance. We
intend to give controlled public access for NGOs, universities to get feedback and then scale
                      the platform.

Throughout development, we'll prioritize data privacy and security through end-to-end
encryption and anonymized data processing. For areas with connectivity challenges, we'll
develop offline functionality that syncs when connections become available. The platform will
be designed for scalability, allowing for expansion to additional regions while maintaining
contextual relevance to local political realities.
