Registration for VIPs

Information on VIP Registration

All participants, including VIPs, must register online prior to the Conference.

To see who qualify as VIP for WTDC-25, click here [add link to the “Protocol services” webpage].

Two different options are available for a VIP to be registered for the Conference:

Option 1 – The VIP (or their surrogate) completes their own registration request.

To proceed: Use the login details of the VIP’s ITU User account to access the online registration system, and fill out the online form to submit their registration request to the Designated Focal Point (DFP).

Once the registration request is approved by the DFP, the VIP will receive a confirmation of registration email.

NOTE: accessing the online registration system requires an ITU User account (to create an ITU User account, click here).

Option 2 – the Designated Focal Point (DFP) registers the VIP on their behalf.

To proceed: the DFP logs on to the Registration request approval platform, selects “WTDC-25” and “Register High-level Delegates”, to complete the registration form on behalf the VIP. To view the process in detail, click here [publish the “VIP registration by DFP” generic PDF guidelines, and add a link to it].

Once a DFP has registered a VIP, an automated email is sent to the email address which has been provided on the registration form. No action from the VIP is required.

NOTE:

  • This special procedure is offered for registering Ministers/Deputy Ministers only, and is used at the discretion of the DFPs.
  • DFPs are encouraged to check the definition of VIPs [add link to the “Protocol services” webpage] before registering a VIP, to ensure that the person they are about to register is eligible for the VIP Status. Please note that regular checks of the list of registered VIPs are made on a regular basis by ITU.
  • This option does not automatically provide the VIP with an ITU User Account with TIES access which is required to download WTDC-25 documents and access other electronic resources. To create an ITU User account and request TIES access, click here.
