Participation

Participation is open to one (1) member per delegation (ITU Member States and ITU-D Sector Members).  

Priority should be given to delegates under 35 years of age; Generation Connect Youth Envoys, and selected youth constituencies. 

  • Disclaimer: Underage participants (individuals under 18 years of age) are not permitted to register independently. Registration must be completed using the email address of a parent or legal guardian, who shall assume full responsibility for the underage participant’s registration and participation in the relevant activities, including for on-site activities at ITU or other premises.

The ITU Global Youth Celebration (GYC-25) will be held in a physical format only, with no remote participation provided during the event.

Registration

Participation is open to one (1) member per delegation (ITU Member States and ITU-D Sector Members).  Advance registration to the event is mandatory, following these steps:

  1. Create an ITU user account (if you already have an account, go to step 2).
  2. When creating an ITU user account affiliated to an ITU Member, users must obtain approval of their affiliation from the corresponding TIES Focal Point prior to submitting a registration request.
  3. Registration for the Global Youth Celebration is available hereLog in with your ITU user account credentials and complete the corresponding registration request form. After successful submission, you will receive an acknowledgement email.
  4. Your registration request is automatically forwarded to the corresponding Designated Focal Points (DFPs) for ITU-D event registration.
  5. Upon the approval of the DFP, you will receive a confirmation of registration email.

Dress Code 

To celebrate cultural diversity and unity, we encourage participants to wear traditional national outfits or incorporate key elements of their national dress. If participants do not have a traditional outfit, they are kindly encouraged to dress in business casual attire—for example, collared shirts, blouses, trousers, skirts, or dresses.

The organizations of the United Nations system are committed to enabling events at which everyone can participate in an inclusive, respectful and safe environment. UN system events are guided by the highest ethical and professional standards, and all participants are expected to behave with integrity and respect towards all participants attending or involved with any UN system event. 

We encourage all participants to review the UN Code of Conduct to familiarize themselves with the standards of behaviour expected during our events.
