U4SSC Unique Method

The originality of U4SSC’s method lies in the fact that it regards ICTs and digital technologies
not as ends in themselves, but rather as tools with which to make a meaningful contribution to
achieving the SDGs in an increasingly digitalized landscape. Approximately one-third of the U4SSC
KPIs concern digitalization (for example, Student ICT Access) and two-thirds primarily concern
sustainable development and environmental impact (for example, Noise Exposure). As such, U4SSC
forms a necessary bridge between digitalization and sustainable development.
