• KYC and digital banking – identity cards are used at banks to comply with KYC rules. It is the intention of the government to fur-

Election
• Voting: voters must present their NRC and voter card. 25

• Voter registration: to register, voters must produce an NRC. Instead of carrying multiple cards, people can present their elec-
tronic NRC in the 2016 elections; this card will be to curb electoral malpractices rampant. 27
