President & CEO
Mr.Tim Archdeacon
In 1990, Tim founded ABI Research to provide business intelligence to the then nascent wireless market. Later, he broadened the range of topics addressed by ABI Research to include broadband, transportation, and energy. Prior to founding ABI Research, Tim was a senior analyst at World Information Technologies, a boutique research house specializing in communications and energy. His early research experience encompassed semiconductors, electronic components, air traffic management systems, intelligent transportation systems and broadband infrastructure.
Over the past 23 years Tim has developed a diverse skill set spanning research, marketing, client relations, media access and relational database development. Currently Tim heads up the sales & marketing operations for ABI and works with the management team on continuing to develop the overall company vision and coordinating new business initiatives.
Tim, who started hacking on a Commodore 64 in 1982, graduated from Drew University with a BA in English Literature and began his career in journalism. He is a member of the Institute for Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) and was a co-founder of the Intelligent Transportation Society of New York (ITS-NY).
