Sintesio is an open, not-for-profit foundation, co-founded by the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI), Slovenian Institute for Standardization (SIST), and Iskratel, a Slovenian telecommunication vendor. The aim of the Foundation is to promote open standards, interoperability in multi-vendor/multi-operator environments, to support standardization efforts and to facilitate vendors collaboration in the area of information and communication technologies and standardization.
The Foundation operates industry grade test bed facility for conformance and interoperability testing. It effectively engaging internal and external professionals and experts from the member’s and partnership organizations in implementing various customer projects and initiatives in the field of conformance and interoperability standards development, validation and testing, type approval testing, consulting and trainings.
Roman Kuznar has been with Iskratel, a major telecommunication vendor since 1996. He has spent most of the time as a project manager for application and services development for public telecommunication networks in the area of intelligent networks, computer telephony and NGN terminal equipment. He currently serves as a Director of SINTESIO, an NGN interoperability test lab endorsed and co-founded by ETSI. He actively participates in ETSI TISPAN standardization technical body. Before joining Iskratel, Roman worked at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at University of Ljubljana as a research assistant
