Azerbaijan Technical University

Azerbaijan Technical University (AZTU) is a public university, specialized in engineering, located in Baku, Azerbaijan. The University traces its history to the much older Baku Polytechnical Institute. Only in 1993, the ATU changed status and became Azerbaijan Technical University. Today 10 dean's offices and 52 departments function at the Azerbaijan Technical University. About 6000 students are trained and 116 foreigners are among them. The University supports scientific and educational relations with some foreign countries. At present it has close contacts with the Universities and scientific centers of Germany, Turkey, Russia and others.

Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Mammadov Havar Amir oglu graduated with honors diploma Azerbaijan Polytechnic Institute by named Ch.Ildirim (AzPI ) in "Automation and Remote Control" department "Automation and Computer Engineering" in 1968 in the course of their studies at the university , he was awarded the Lenin scholarships for academic and social activities .

In 1968-1970 he . H.A Mammadov worked as an assistant to the department "Automation and Remote Control" AzPI .

1970 H.A Mammadov became full-time graduate student at the Institute. After passing military service in the Soviet Army 1970-1971. He continued his education in graduate school until 1974.

In the period from 1974 to 1984 H.A Mammadov successfully worked as first assistant and then senior Teacher and senior Lectures of "Automation of production processes and computer engineering" AzPI them . Ch.Ildirim .

GA Mammadov also took an active part in the social life of the Institute .

From 1973-1975 . he was deputy secretary of the Komsomol committee AzPI in 1980-1983 gg. - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Institute, and from 1983 to 1984 - Secretary of the Party Committee .

In the years 1984 -1989. H.A Mammadov worked as an instructor of the " Science and education" Central Committee of Azerbaijan.

Further work activity of H.A Mammadov is also associated Azerbaijan Technical University.

In 1989-1991. H.A Mammadov held the position of vice-rector for evening and distance education AzPI .

From 1993-1996. - H.A Mammadov was chair of "Production and design of computer hardware” in AzPI .

1997-2000 years. - H.A Mammadov head of the Department "Remote control and automation of transport".

From 2000 to the present H.A Mammadov directs the department "Automation and Control".

In 1983 H.A Mammadov defended his candidate thesis on "Transients in successive circuit switching in circuits with distributed parameters ", and in 1998 - his doctoral thesis on " Methods of analysis of switching processes in complex circuits with distributed parameters ."

Professor H.A Mammadov actively engaged in research and teaching activities. He proved himself an expert of the highest level in the training of specialists in the field of automation, ranging from stage bachelors and master's, doctoral and other research personnel. He is the head of research : state budget and Laboratory at the Department.

H.A Mammadov pays great attention to strengthening the scientific and technical basis of his department.

From 2000 to the present, Professor H.A Mammadov is the rector of the Azerbaijan Technical University . At the same time he acts as Chairman of the specialized council on thesis D02.031.

Professor H.A Mammadov is the author of 205 scientific papers, 3 monographs, 22 textbooks and teaching aids, 9 patents. His scientific articles published in leading newspapers in the United States, France, Italy, Spain, Malaysia , Turkey, Romania and the CIS.

As rector, Professor H.A Mammadov in a focused and effective work to strengthen the ties of friendship and cooperation with leading technical universities: Moscow State Technical University. N.E. Bauman, Rostov State University of Railway Transport, Dagestan State University, Astrakhan State Technical University, Moscow State University of Radio Engineering, Electronics and Automation, St. Petersburg State University of Telecommunications by named prof . Bonch-Bruevich, Moscow State Automobile and Road Technical University , etc.

Professor H.A Mammadov is a full member of several academies, including the Russian International Academy of Engineering, the Azerbaijan International Engineering Academy, International Academy of Scientific Development, as well as a corresponding member of the International Academy East .

In addition, H.A Mammadov is an honorary professor and doctor of a number of higher education institutions ( Technical University of Varna ( Bulgaria), Astrakhan State University, Odessa National Academy of Communication by named A.S. Popov ).

According to a survey conducted in 2005 by the International Bibliographical Centre in Cambridge, prof. H.A Mammadov was declared a scholar of the year.

In 2011 , in connection with the development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Russia in the field of transport, prof. H.A Mammadov was awarded a commemorative medal " 200 years of making vehicles in Russia ." In the same year for his services in the field of training of engineers in the country, as well as contributions to the development of technical sciences and education, he was awarded the highest state award - the Order of "Glory ."
