Viettel Corporation

Viettel Corporation is one of the world’s fastest growing telecom operators owning the largest telecom network in Indochina featuring 56,000 GSM Stations (2G BTS and 3G Node B) and 200,000 km of fiber optical cable. Viettel’s global operations cover 6 countries with a total population of approximately 170 million people, including Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Haiti, Mozambique and Peru. The Group provides services under the “Viettel”, "Metfone", and "Unitel" brands. As of June 2011, Viettel’s subscriber base in worldwide has reached around 63 million. Viettel is the owner of the biggest 3G network in Vietnam and the only 3G operator in the world to cover 86% population upon launching the service.
