ITU-APT Foundation of India

ITU-APT Foundation of India formed in 2003 as a non-profit, non-political body and registered under society act in India.The Foundation activities broadly relates to: (1) coordination, promotion and formulation of expert opinion on topical subjects including radio-communications, spectrum management, radio regulations, telecommunication standardization and telecommunication development; (2) to act as a bridge between the industry and other institutions on the one hand and the government and regulatory agencies on the other; (3)to promote, support and participate in the ITU Plenipotentiary Conference, WTDC, WSIS, TDAG, ITU Telecom and other major ITU-D meetings and events.

Anil Prakash

 Anil Prakash is a specialist in government relations, regulatory and policy framework with over 29 years of domestic and international techno-commercial experience in telecom, IT and the entertainment industries.


He helped to establish PTC India Foundation, a country chapter of Pacific Telecommunications Council in India in 1994, Telecom Users Group of India in 1997 a country Association of INTUG, ITU-APT Foundation of India in 2003, and the IPTV India Forum in 2006. He is an active member of regional and international telecom forums and trade bodies.

He is also President of Telecom Users Group of India, Secretary General, ITU-APT Foundation of India and Secretary General, IPTV India Forum.
