Africell Ltd.

Africell Ltd. is a mobile telecommunications company serving The Gambia and Sierra Leone. It is a subsidiary of the Lebanese telecommunications company Lintel Holding. In 2001, Africell was first launched in The Gambia as the second company to enter the market. In July 2006 Africell became the Market leader in terms of subscribers. In April 2008 Aricell hit the 500,000 mark and remained the market leader with more than 60% market share. Currently it has 770,000 loyal subscribers and remains the market leaders with 60% share.
