Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd. formed in October, 2000, is World's 7th largest Telecommunications Company providing comprehensive range of telecom services in India: Wireline, CDMA mobile, GSM Mobile, Internet, Broadband, Carrier service, MPLS-VPN, VSAT, VoIP services, IN Services etc. Presently it is one of the largest & leading public sector unit in India.

Mr Rakesh Kumar Upadhyay
Mr. Rakesh Kumar Upadhyay has been the Chairman and Managing Director at Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd. since April 30, 2011. Mr. Upadhyay served as CMD of Telecom Consultants India Ltd. Mr. Upadhyay is 1975 Batch Officer of Indian Telecom Services. He holds a B Tech (Electronics) Degree from IT Banaras Hindu University and an MBA (Marketing Management) Degree from the Indira Gandhi Open University. He is also a graduate of Defence Services Staff College , Wellington and was awarded M.Sc.(DS) degree by Madras University.
