The first meetings of the ITU-D Study Groups for the new study period will take place at ITU Headquarters in Geneva from 15 to 26 September 2014.
With their new agreed scope of work and assigned study Questions, Study Group 1 will meet from 15 to 19 September 2014 and Study Group 2 from 22 to 26 September 2014. The first meetings will look closer at the expected results agreed on by the membership at the 2014 World Telecommunication Development Conference (WTDC-14), identify methods for conducting their work and agree on detailed work plans for each study Question. These meetings will also appoint the Rapporteurs and Vice-Rapporteurs for each of the study Questions.
There will be specially designed introduction sessions for new ITU-D Sector Members, Associates and Academia to the work of the Telecommunication Development Sector which will take place on Wednesday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 on 17 and 24 September 2014.
As well, BDT Director has the pleasure of inviting ITU-D Sector Members, Associates and Academia for an informal coffee on Tuesday, 16 September and on Tuesday 23 September during the morning break.
