ITU Coordination Committee for Terminology (ITU CCT) ​

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​The ITU Coordination Committee for Terminology (ITU CCT) was created following the adoption of Resolution 1386 at the 2017 session​ of Council. The ITU CCT consists of the ITU-R Coordination Committee for Vocabulary (ITU-R CCV) and the ITU-T Standardization Committee for Vocabulary (ITU-T SCV), functioning in accordance with relevant resolutions of the Radiocommunication Assembly and World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly respectively, and representatives of ITU-D, working in close collaboration with the ITU General Secretariat.​

The work of ITU CCT

​The ITU CCT is responsible for standardizing terminology and definitions ​within ITU based on proposals submitted by the ITU Study Groups in English, and adoption of translations of these terms and definitions into the other five official ITU languages as submitted by the ITU General Secretariat. The ITU CCT is comprised of technical​ experts in each of the different official ITU languages as well as representatives designated by interested Member States and other participants in the work of ITU. The ITU CCT works in close collaboration with the C​ouncil Working Group on Languages (CWG-LANG)​, the Conferences and Publications Department of the ITU General Secretariat and the editors in the three​ Bureaux.
