Space Plan Assignments Recorded in the Master Register

Appendices 30 and 30A

When an administration intends to bring into use its assignment(s) in the appropriate Regional Plan or Regions 1 & 3 List, it notifies this to the Bureau. The procedure of Article 5 of Appendices 30 and 30A is then applied.  The Bureau examines the submission to assure that the information received is complete, that the data elements are in conformity with Appendix 4, and that the notified characteristics comply with those of the entries in the Plans or Lists.

For a Plan or List assignment to be entered in the Master Register, the notified technical characteristics have to be the same as those in the Plans or Lists except those allowed in provision 5.2.1 d) of Appendices 30 and 30A and it's associated Rules of Procedure. Those characteristics shall not increase the interference potential to, nor claim more protection from, other assignments in the Plans or Lists or of other services.

Where the Bureau reaches a favourable finding, the frequency assignment is recorded in the Master Register.

Appendix 30B

Any assignment for which the relevant procedure of Article 6 of Appendix 30B has been successfully applied shall be notified to the Bureau using the relevant characteristics listed in Appendix 4, not earlier than three years before the assignments are brought into use. The procedure of Article 8 of Appendix 30B is then applied.  The Bureau examines the submission to assure that the information received is complete, that the data elements are in conformity with Appendix 4, and that the notified characteristics comply with those of the entries into the List.

Where the Bureau reaches a favourable finding with respect to the examination under Article 8 of Appendix 30B, the frequency assignment is recorded in the Master Register.
