ITU CIS Centres of Excellence Face-to-face Training on Technical Organization of Broadband Access, Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic, 17-20 May 2016

OVERVIEW

This training aims to introduce participants to the problematics of electromagnetic compatibility in the planning of new wireless networks; experience of building of modern broadband access (BBA) networks; new opportunities for the development of wireless BBA systems. It will focus on topics that address experience of implementation of WCDMA and LTE BBA networks in Kyrgyz Republic; new opportunities for the development of radio communication systems in light of the decisions of WRC-15; LTE and LTE-advanced; BBA nodes and solutions for the implementation of BBA equipment; BBA network planning and electromagnetic compatibility; 5G system development and standardization in ITU-R.

This training is targeted at technical staff, senior and mid-level management staff of communications service providers, telecommunication and broadcasting companies. It is also of interest to employees of Communication Administrations dealing with the issues of digital television, audio and multimedia broadcasting. Participants are expected to have understanding of communication and broadcasting technical principles.
