The Arab Regional Office of the International Telecommunication Union in collaboration with Tunis-International Center for Environmental Technologies (CITET) will organize a Regional Training Workshop on ICT for Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation in Arab Region. The training workshop will be held in Tunis-Tunisia, 12-13 July 2017.
The overall objective of this training workshop is to build skills on the required actions for Climate Change mitigation and adaptation and the role that ICT plays in tackling it. It will explain the underlying concepts and the role that a wide range of stakeholders must play in developing the policies, technologies and standards that will improve energy efficiency and reduce GHG emissions through a range of mitigating technologies and enable countries and societies to better adapt to climate change.
The workshop is targeting the specialists in the field of ICTs, environment and Climate Change, from developing countries, ITU Member States, ICT regulatory agencies, municipalities, environmental ministries, policy makers, private sector and national and international agencies working on climate change and environment.
