Dear
participants to GSR13,
The 13th
edition of the Global Symposium for Regulators (GSR13) which took place in
Warsaw, Poland, from 3 to 5 July 2013 provided a unique opportunity for
policy makers, regulators and ICT industry leaders to meet, discuss and
share experiences on 4th generation regulation: driving digital
communications ahead.
The event
organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Administration and
Digitalization and the Office of Electronic Communications (UKE) of Poland
attracted 664 participants from 131 countries. The meeting saw the adoption
by Regulators of a set of best practice guidelines on the evolving roles of
both regulation and the regulators in a digital environment.
I am pleased
to inform you that the Chairman’s report of the meeting is now available on the GSR13
website along with
the best practice guidelines and the reports from the pre-event programme.

GSR14 will
take place in Manama, Bahrain, from 3 to 5 June 2014, at the kind
invitation of the Bahraini Administration.
A pre-event
programme will be organized on 2 June 2014, that includes, among others, the
Private Sector Chief Regulatory Officers’ Meeting and the Regulatory
Associations’ Meeting.
