ITU150 Awards: Rules and guidelines for the nomination process


ITU150 Awards are being launched to recognize eminent individuals1 from government, ICT industry, academia and civil society that have demonstrated an extraordinary contribution to improving the lives of the world's citizens through ICT Innovations. Nominations should meet the following criteria:
  1. Nominations can only be submitted by ITU membership: Member States, Sector Members, Academia and Associates.
  2. All nominations should be submitted through the online questionnaire. No attachments will be accepted.
  3. ITU Member States may nominate individuals from Government, ICT industry, Academia and Civil society for ITU150 Awards.
  4. Sector Members, Academia and Associates are also invited to submit their nominations for individuals to be recognized by ITU as distinguished contributions for Sector Awards.
  5. All details requested in the questionnaire should be completed strictly respecting the nomination template. Incomplete submissions will not be accepted. The maximum number of words requested should be respected. The relevance of the nomination to ITU's 150th Anniversary should be highlighted.
  6. The deadline for nominations will be 15 March 2015. Late nominations will not be accepted.
  7. ITU cannot bear travel costs for winners.


    1 Please note that Historic personalities who have greatly innovated Telecommunication and/or contributed greatly to the work of ITU will be recognized separately during the event on 17 May.
