At the kind invitation of the Government of Fiji, ITU-T in association with the Commonwealth Telecommunications Organization (CTO), will organize a Forum on Implementation of WTSA-08 Decisions and a Workshop on Bridging the Standardization Gap, which will take place from 16 to 17 September 2009 at the Sheraton Fiji Hotel, Denarau Island, Nadi, Fiji.
The ITU events will be preceeded by the 7th Annual Forum of the Commonwealth Telecommunications Organization from 14 to 15 September at the same venue under the theme "Delivering Broadband Connectivity for All: Needs and Challenges". (more on this event)
Objectives
The objectives of the Forum are to review the Asia-Pacific experience in WTSA-08 and to consider the activities put in place to implement those Resolutions that are of interest to the region. The workshop will also focus on actions to Bridge the Standardization Gap in Asia-Pacific and on key hot topics in ITU-T standards work.
