The Youth Forums participants represent the future leaders in ICTs. That’s why ITU aims at gathering together the ITU Youth Forums Participants and ensuring their continued involvement and success in their endeavors even after the Forums.

ITU BDT Youth Program aims at creating initiatives to follow up youth support for development of ICTs and implement projects identified by Youth Forums Participants in their Declarations.

As expressed in the Youth Declaration issued at the World Telecom Youth Forum held in Geneva in October 2003, where topics like education, access and use of ICTs were discussed, the Youth Program put in place a network entitled «Young Leaders in ICTs» which is intended for the ITU Youth Forums Participants.

Through the powerful youth force brought during and after the Forums, this website which targets to reduce the gap of the digital divide and to improve access and use of ICTs in countries contributing to the homogenization of knowledge related to ICTs among young people, should have a global influence on development of ICTs, promoting the telecommunication sector as a whole.

This network will be administrated by ITU, but its activities and dynamics depend on the involvement and participation of the Youth Forum Alumni in the benefit of communication between them over the world.

Through this network you can:
• Find documents on several ICT Topics (VoIP, IPv6….etc);
• Participate in Online courses;
• Find Information about the latest ICT events and the youths activities.
• Join the discussions on the discussion boards and share your experience with all the youths from all over the world.
• Find Information about universities in all countries, the courses they offer; academic support, scholarships…etc;
• General Information about all countries (Geography, population, ICT indicators...etc);
• Administrations in charge of telecommunication in each country;
• Private sector telecommunication companies in each country and;
• Advertising education and job opportunities in telecommunication-related fields

The ITU inputs will be mainly in providing information related to:
• Worldwide events related to the telecommunication field
• ITU’s news as well as specific information on ITU Youth Forums and Youth Program.
