Following the recommendations of the 7th World Telecommunication/ICT Indicators meeting held in March 2009, an Expert Group on Telecommunication/ICT Indicators (EGTI) was set up. The EGTI will review, revise and finalize the ITU telecommunication/ICT indicators and definitions (ITU (2007)). The EGTI started its work in May 2009 and will complete by end March 2010. The revised list of indicators will be presented during the 8th World Telecommunication Indicators meeting to be held in 2010 and will be used by the ITU in its 2010 data collection.
