Draft Joint Implementation Road Map for WSIS–GDC Coherence

This document presents a Draft Joint Implementation Road Map designed to strengthen coherence and coordination between the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) framework and the Global Digital Compact (GDC) within the United Nations system. Mandated by recent ECOSOC (E/RES/2025/18) and UN General Assembly (A/RES/80/173) resolutions, the road map aims to ensure a unified and efficient approach across the UN system, avoiding duplication and maximizing synergies. It outlines how existing mechanisms such as WSIS Action Lines, the WSIS Forum, the Internet Governance Forum, and various UN inter-agency groups will work together to advance inclusive, rights-based, and development-oriented digital societies.
