Fourth Meeting of the Open Consultation Process (OCP) — 3 April 2025
We are pleased to invite you to the Fourth Meeting of the Open Consultation Process (OCP) in preparation for the WSIS+20 High-Level Event 2025. This meeting is scheduled for Thursday, 3 April 2025, from 14:00 to 15:00 CEST (UTC+2), in Room L at the ITU Headquarters, Geneva, Switzerland. Remote participation facilities will also be available for those unable to attend in person.
This consultative meeting offers a valuable opportunity for stakeholders—including governments, private sector representatives, civil society, academia, and technical community—to contribute insights, shape the event's agenda, and ensure an inclusive and impactful WSIS+20 High-Level Event. Your participation will help refine priorities, address emerging challenges, and strengthen our collective vision for the future of the information society.

CSW69/Beijing+30 Side-Event: Accelerating Gender Equality in the Digital Age: Leveraging WSIS+20 Milestones and Beyond — 19 March 2025
The sixty-ninth session of the Commission on the Status of Women will take place from 10 to 21 March 2025. The main focus of the sixty-ninth session will be on the review and appraisal of the implementation of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action and the outcomes of the 23rd special session of the General Assembly. The review will include an assessment of current challenges that affect the implementation of the Platform for Action and the achievement of gender equality and the empowerment of women and its contribution towards the full realization of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
The Side Event will highlight the urgent need to integrate gender equality within global digital policies and initiatives, with a focus on the 20-year review of the WSIS Process. The session aims to identify essential actions for fostering an inclusive digital ecosystem and to discuss the progress and challenges in realizing digital gender equality. Additionally, the session will emphasize on the significance of incorporating digital issues into the Beijing+30 review.
The side event is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, 19 March 2025 from 13:15 to 14:30 New York Time (EDT/UTC-04:00) at the, UN Headquarters, Conference Room A, in New York, United States, with participation limited to on-site attendees. |
