The WSIS Forum 2026 builds upon the outcomes of the UN General Assembly on the overall review of the implementation of the outcomes of the World Summit on the Information Society, as reflected in Resolution A/RES/80/173, which reaffirms the WSIS Forum as the global multistakeholder platform for dialogue on information society issues and calls for its continued convening on an annual basis.
Le Forum WSIS 2026 se tiendra du 6 au 10 juillet 2026 à Palexpo, à Genève, avec une participation à distance renforcée.
The Leaders TalkX sessions will gather High-ranking officials of the WSIS stakeholder community, representing the Government, Private Sector, Civil Society, Academia, Technical Community and International Organizations. These high-level exchanges will provide a strategic space for leaders to reflect on the WSIS outcomes review, share national and institutional perspectives, and shape forward-looking policy dialogue. Aligned with the evolving digital landscape and the WSIS Action Line implementation annual review, the Leaders TalkX sessions will also address new and emerging technologies and their implications for sustainable development. All stakeholders are invited to attend the Leaders TalkX sessions.
The Leaders TalkX sessions will be moderated by High-Level Track Facilitators (HLTF) nominated and identified by WSIS stakeholders. The main task of the HLTF will be to capture the vision, identify emerging trends, opportunities and challenges highlighted during each session.
The key messages and outcomes of the High-Level Track will be consolidated in a publication titled WSIS Forum 2026: Outcomes and Executive Brief, summarizing the multistakeholder deliberations and key messages emerging from the Forum.
