Celebrating Excellence in ICT for Sustainable Development

Get ready for the grand celebration of the year! The WSIS Prizes 2024 Ceremony is the premier international recognition of outstanding ICT projects and initiatives that are propelling the development of the information society, the WSIS process and Action Lines, and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Since its inception, the WSIS Prizes has become a cornerstone of the WSIS Stocktaking process, proudly maintained by the International Telecommunication Union since 2004.

Since the launch of the first annual WSIS Prizes contest in 2012, over 5,000 submissions have been received, culminating in the announcement of 250 winners across 18 Action Line Categories. This vibrant contest has engaged more than 500,000 stakeholders in its submission and voting phases, while millions around the world have been reached through promotions of the Winners and Champions, highlighting the significance of WSIS on a global scale.

This year's WSIS Prizes 2024 Ceremony shines a spotlight on the extraordinary accomplishments and contributions of WSIS stakeholders in leveraging the power of information and communication technologies (ICTs) to advance sustainable development goals. With over 1,000 submissions during the submission phase and 360 projects nominated during the online voting phase, we are thrilled to announce the selection of 90 Champions. During this prestigious event, the 18 winning projects will be unveiled.

Join us onsite and remotely to discover the 2024 winners and to celebrate the achievements of all winners, champions, nominees, and everyone involved in the WSIS Prizes 2024 contest. This ceremony will underscore the transformative impact of these achievements in bridging the digital divide, fostering digital inclusion, and driving socio-economic progress on a global scale.

Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of an event that not only celebrates innovation and excellence but also highlights the crucial role of ICT in building a better, more inclusive world for all.
