This workshop will highlight the challenges in ensuring sustainable and long-lasting impacts of cybersecurity capacity building activities, and how to overcome them. By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to address common issues. These include understanding why Computer Incidence Response Teams / Computer Emergency Response Teams (CIRTs/CERTs) fail; how to hire, train and retain talent; what are the basic requirements for a CIRT/CERT to run efficiently; and what are additional elements that should be considered in the medium to long term.
