Session 245

AI for Good to promote Healthy Ageing Innovation and Preventive care

In 2020, for the first time of human history, elderlies outnumbered children. The number is projected to grow by 40% before 2030 up to 1.4 Billion and will reach 2 billion older adults in 2050. Among them, 80% are living in low and medium income countries. More and more older adults are living lonely far away from their children and are suffering from a shortage of healthcare professionals and geriatricians. As World Health Organisation stated, traditional healthcare system is not adapted for seniorcare because it is oriented to cure rather than prevention. Besides, some diseases that hit only older adults such Alzheimer are still not curable.

This HiNounou session will showcase some of the best privatepublic partnerships that foster multi-disciplinary eHealth innovation collaboration between developed and emerging countries to promote better healthy longevity for all. Example of collaboration between Norway, France, and Tunisia, the second largest Healthcare tourism country in Africa will inspire humanistic leaders who want to do a game changer in the silver economy and provide longer and healthier life for the older people.

As UN stated, older people require a comprehensive set of services to prevent, slow, or reverse declines in their physical and mental capacities. Best AI&IoT based platforms-ecosystem need to be delivered to meet the person’s needs (person-centred), coordinated between different health and social care providers, and avoid causing the user financial hardship.

Experts in AI, connected medical devices, alzheimer, rehabilitation, public university hospital in France and Tunisia and world class researcher in Neurosciences will share their inspirational experience to help family caregivers to take care of their loving older parents even if they live far away from them.
