 WSIS IMPLEMENTATION AND FOLLOW-UP : FUNDING  THE POST-WSIS PROCESS
 

As part of the activities in the post-Summit period, ITU decided to maintain the WSIS Executive Secretariat, albeit on a smaller scale, to carry out implementation tasks stipulated in the Tunis agenda of the WSIS. These activities include the coordination /facilitation of multi-stakeholder implementation and stock-taking, as well as other essential tasks. ITU decided also to maintain the special WSIS Trust Fund to support these activities. Governments and all other WSIS stakeholders were invited to support post-Summit WSIS activities, either through voluntary financial or in-kind contributions, which could include the secondment of staff to the Executive Secretariat.
