The existing parking lots lack effective technologies and products to increase the number
of parking spaces, which is the main contradiction faced in solving the parking problem in
the current urban renewal. Intelligent technologies such as self-service payment systems and
parking guidance systems can better improve the parking and car-picking experience, but cities 4.8: Smart home/
cannot effectively increase the number of parking spaces, and mechanical stereo garage
technology is mainly used in new projects.

In this context, the combination of robots and artificial intelligence technologies is seen as an
effective way to solve this problem. Without the need for construction and renovation and multi-
story construction, the renovation of an ordinary parking lot with about 100 parking spaces
can be completed within 1 month. After the upgrade, the number of parking spaces can be
increased by about 50%, and the annual return on investment can reach 30%.

               3 Use Case Requirements

REQ1: it is critical that vehicles handover areas are designed based on the shape of the parking
               garage.

REQ2: it is critical that parking guidance is provided to guide the driver in the vehicle handover
               area

REQ3: it is expected that robotic assistance is provided to correctly position the vehicle in the
               handover area.

REQ4: It is critical that the vehicle parking is indexed by vehicle license plate number.
