In January 2025, ITU launched its first-ever Employee Engagement Survey (EES). The survey was designed to understand employees' level of commitment, motivation and connection with work and the organization, and to drive efficiency and effectiveness within ITU. The survey achieved a response rate of 72 per cent. The data helped identify areas where we are perceived to be doing well and highlighted areas for further improvement. ITU-wide and Bureau/Department-level teams have been mobilized to translate the findings into concrete actions at the grassroots level, with mechanisms set in place by the Human Resource Management Department to monitor implementation and track progress.
