Abstract :

The China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) is a think tank and research institute directly under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China. Through a broad range of activities-including policy research, standard development, testing and verification, and industrial consultation-CAICT is committed to advancing innovation in ICT, promoting digital transformation across the economy and society, especially in the industrial sector, and ensuring network and data security. It plays an active role in the development of relevant policies, laws, standards, and industrial progress in China. CAICT has established world-class testing and certification system and holds numerous international qualifications. As one of the most internationally engaged research institutions in China, it has built long-term partnerships with global think tanks, standardization bodies, industry organizations, and multinational enterprises.
For many years, CAICT has actively participated in ITU-D's work. It serves as both an ITU Academy Training Centre and Acceleration Centre of ITU Innovation and Entrepreneurship Alliance for Digital Development.
Recently, CAICT has become a Sector Member of ITU-D. Looking ahead, it aims to further deepen collaboration with ITU-D in areas such as capacity building, innovation and entrepreneurship, digital transformation, and the development of emerging technologies, contributing actively to the fulfillment of ITU-D's mandate and the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
