Abstract :

Proposed the updated baseline text of revising Recommendation ITU-T K.105, this contribution suggest the new title "Lightning protection of photovoltaic power supply and energy storage systems feeding radio base stations",which mainly modifies lightning protection procedures for protecting dedicated photovoltaic (PV) power supply and energy storage systems used to provide electric power to radio base stations (RBSs).Then details in the bonding and earthing procedures applied to the metallic supports of the PV array, considering the following scenarios for the installation of the PV array and new systems architecture.This contribution also suggest to modify the configuration and rating and selection of SPDs according to IEC 61643-31:2018.
