Abstract :

Ghana's approach to governing electromagnetic field (EMF) exposure from telecommunications infrastructure rests on the Electronic Communications Act, 2008 (Act 775) and the National Communications Authority Act, 2008 (Act 769), operationalized through pre-market equipment certification (type approval), inter-agency field verification, and public risk communication. This contribution documents Ghana's current statutory basis and regulatory practice as a case study for Question 2/2 Tasks T11 and T12, and separately notes where Ghana's pending legislative reform process could further strengthen this framework once enacted.
