This contribution describing the experience of the Russian Federation in developing a mandatory digital marking system for telecommunications equipment using Data Matrix codes, and explores how artificial intelligence (AI) technologies can enhance such systems beyond traditional regulatory and testing frameworks.
The proposed text outlines the core elements of the marking system, including its regulatory basis, operational mechanisms, and the potential for AI integration to transform it from a static tracking tool into an intelligent analytics platform for supply chain optimization, fraud detection, and digital skills development.
