Abstract :

Bridging the digital divide is not only a technological but also a societal imperative. Universal connectivity is essential for fostering economic opportunity, improving quality of life, and ensuring that no one is left behind in the digital era.
Achieving universal connectivity is an ambitious, yet necessary goal. While not all challenges are easily overcome, extending connectivity over the remaining landmass is a matter of collaboration across industries and public-private sector and ensuring an enabling regulatory framework. The 4% of the population residing in these areas represents an untapped reservoir of human potential, creativity, and economic opportunity.
