International Girls in ICT Day

International Girls in ICT Day is a flagship ITU initiative since 2011, aimed to encourage girls and young women to pursue studies and careers in information and communication technologies (ICT). Focused on awareness raising on the opportunities that ICT can provide for educational and socio-economic empowerment of girls and young women the International Girls in ICT Day is celebrated annually on the fourth Thursday of April. In 2025 the celebration was held on April 24 under the theme “Girls in ICTs: Bridging ALL Divides for an Inclusive Digital Transformation”. More information
